Fireplace Xtrordinair Dealer in Hayward, Wisconsin
High-output fireplaces and inserts
Authorized Fireplace Xtrordinair dealer
Fireplace Xtrordinair at Northwoods Stove & Fireplace
Fireplace Xtrordinair, or FPX, is the line for a fireplace that is expected to heat the room it is in rather than just look good doing it. Big glass, high output, and a build quality you can feel in the door.
- Wood and gas fireplaces with real heating output
- Inserts that turn an open masonry fireplace into a heater
- Large viewing areas
- Deep face and surround options
Who it suits
Right for a great room or an open main floor where one fire is expected to do real work, and for anyone turning a cold masonry fireplace into the room's actual heat source.
Not sure? Tell us the room and how you use the place, and we will say plainly whether this is the right line or whether something else on our floor fits better.
What makes it different
FPX comes out of the same Washington workshop as Lopi, and the family resemblance is in the engineering rather than the styling. Where a builder grade fireplace is a firebox with a decorative face, these are built as heaters first, with heavier steel, larger glass and enough output to change the temperature of an open plan room. You notice it in the weight of the door.
Everything we sell from this line is installed by our own crew and serviced here afterward. Being an authorized dealer is what keeps the manufacturer warranty valid and the genuine parts available, which matters most on the day something needs fixing in the middle of winter.

Other lines worth comparing
Most people who come in asking for one brand leave having compared it against two others standing next to it. That is the point of a showroom.
Come see it burning.
Photographs only get you so far with a fire. The showroom on Highway 63 has units running through the season.
